I'd like the ability to create videos on here and have them automatically show up in a Slack channel in order to gather immediate feedback from my team
Seems like the Slack integration is picking up some speed. We'd love to build this for ourselves but need our user base to justify it for us haha 🙃
Any support team, besides talking with clients, needs to communicate with programmers, and as you know, there is a lot of companies using Slack. The support team always wants the programmer to see the problem as soon as possible, and in slack you can't see who or when or even if he/she saw the message. If I want to get something across I use video, cuz then it seems more important, but what's the use of using video, if you can't actually embed it in a channel.
Even today I through a video link, into a slack channel, which basically disappeared among the other things in the channel (mainly screenshots).
And there's the justification. Openvid needs to be better than screenshots ... simple ;)

Totally SUPPORT video integration into Slack, great for training & demos to team
Hey Zen,
Could you expand on what you mean by "video integration into Slack"? Right now you should have a preview whenever you post an Opentest link in Slack, but we can't do full video playback previews in Slack as of right now. :-\ We even went to Slack's headquarters to see if this was possible, but they pushed back pretty aggressively.

I'd love this - even just an option below the video or after recording to either use the awesome new gmail integration or send to slack (we try not to email internally). Right now we have a workaround with emailing to slack but it would be great to have it direct.
Hey Tracey,
I hear you loud and clear. Some things I've been thinking for the Slack integration:
* Post to specific channels/people when finishing a recording (this is the obvious one)
* Update you if it takes longer than 10 seconds to "process" your video (slower internet connections, when we have high traffic, etc.)
* Notifications when people view your videos direct to you from our Slack bot
* Notifications when people comment on your videos/reply to your comments
For now, right now we have an "email via Gmail" button below each video that will open a new tab and you can email to wherever you like (it will also expand your link into a thumbnail automagically for you). :-)
Please let me know of any other things you think would be useful for the Slack integration.
Vinay

Hey Freddy,
This would be good - I agree. How do you see that working? We currently have a somewhat "folder" system in our enterprise dashboard. I was thinking that certain "folders" post new videos whenever a recording is moved to them or recorded into them. So essentially, "My Videos" is the default folder but if I pick "Opentest Bugs", that shoots a link to the #engineering or #qa channels in our Slack group.
How were you envisioning it?
Vinay
This is an awesome idea @vinay! The integration would be done at folder level - genius!
@Marcin: 👌🏾
@vinay: I'm rethinking this though, because I'd rather have something that doesn't make me have to go through the guy who administrates slack. It would be cool if all he needed to do is install an integration, and not have to install something, change something, switch something, every time I wanted to post to a specific channel, or newly created channel. Just something to have in mind.
@Marcin: @vinay Would be great if it worked like Marker... one time integration then you can pick the channel where you want to post the video
