After a video is recorded we would have lite weight features to edit the video to remove segments of the video or create a new link (similar to iPhones video editing)
I think that this would be great because I don't want people seeing/hearing me click on my CPU when I'm trying end the video. Also, I've noticed that when I pause the video it's not really doing that, that's why I'm seeing myself click and try to end the video...I think.
Totally hear you with the trimming and splicing. We really want it ourselves.
If you have a video that isn't proprietary would you mind sharing it with me so that I can see if there is actually a bug with our recording that doesn't properly pause?
I'm using opentest to share tech demo's of our work with colleagues/customers. From time to time there are commands that I execute in the command line that take a lot of time to complete. Ideally, I would cut those, otherwise I need to speak a lot over to cover the dead time.
Hey Catalin - Have you tried using the "Pause" functionality in between each command you execute?
If you open up the Menu, you can click on the Pause icon, run your commands, come back and Resume the video –– that should cut down on the dead time.
Let me know what you think!
I'm on board with this feature as the most desired. It's a pain when you make the 5 minute tutorial and then say something stupid in the end. Would be great to just chop it off.
Agree, good to have basic editing tools, encourages more professional videos!
Agree, essential to have basic editing tools to encourage more professional videos! Added features for subscription or paid versions
IMHO MVP for this could just be trimming the front and back of a clip as I'd imagine that'd cover 80%+ of uses. I'd like to use this for demoing feature development to stakeholders and clipping that extra few seconds of stopping the video or the flub at the beginning always makes things cleaner.
+1 I like the way you think about product Avi. :-)
